Product Review

look elsewhere

Pros:  colors are vibrant

Cons:  read above, too many for this field

The Bottom Line:  Serious flaw in design of the paper feed. Stay away!

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

I purchased this printer for the primary objective of printing retail sales labels for a hot sauce company. The DPI specs of this printer was the primary reason for purchase.

The problem begins with the feed of the paper. The paper is fed into the machine primarily by one larger roller which feeds into two smaller rollers. Regardless of the type of paper, it will not feed properly. Everything is printed at an angle because of the feed. I've complied with all of customer supports recommendations to no avail.

Also, if you're looking for detail in your images this is not the printer for you. Although the company claims 9600 dpi this is not what you’re getting. I’ve printed sharper images with a 2400dpi printer compared to this one. Also, there are little specs of red, blue, and green that appear throughout the image and are very noticeable on whites. I’ve played with every setting and nothing seems to work.
Customer support could only recommend updating the driver. Also, printing fonts on top of images seems to degrade the quality because the colors run.

This is my second printer in a quest to find one suitable and I'm now searching for my third. Save your money and look elsewhere.
