Fun Dancing Game

I love this dancing game for the Wii. The game is similar to other Dance Dance Revolution games in that you step on the appropriate arrows as they come to the top of the screen. It has the added addition of hand movements that require you to shake the Wii controller or nunchuck. I find this addition to be great and makes for a more whole body workout. The game has a regular mode in which you try to beat the different challenges of the levels such as playing through a song and getting a certain grade on songs.

My favorite mode, however, is the workout mode. In this mode you can choose the songs you want to dance to or do one of the programmed workout sets of songs. Before starting the Workout mode you can select to have it stop when you reach a certain amount of calories burned or after you have danced for a certain amount of time. Maybe not the most effective way of burning calories, but certainly a fun way to do it in your own home with out major bulky exercise equipment.

Overall I really enjoy this game, although the graphics are not all that interesting and kind of become boring after a while. The other thing I do not like is the music selection. I had not heard of any of the songs before and it just is not my type of music. I really wish it had at least some country songs, my favorite type of music. The sound of the songs is at least realistic, however the type of music annoys me and I usually just turn on mute and play my own music when playing. Listening to the actual music can help you get in the rhythm and do better in the game, however sometimes I just find the beat of the songs do not go all that well with the steps and hand shaking you have to do.
