DDREX2 is a big dissapointment

Go buy In the Groove, or Dance Dance Revolution MAX. They stick to the game.

The basic concept of Dance Dance Revolution is that there are arrows on the screen (left, down, up, and right) that go to the music. They scroll up (or down if you want that modifier) and you have to hit the corresponding button on your controller, or better yet, a dance pad. In the old games, the more you play, the more songs you get.
Now in this game, besides having to do the stupid tutorial, (which to me who beat all other games on Heavy, was a waste of time) there is a mission mode. It is a horrible thing. I would rather play songs and unlock that way, then play a song with the arrows floating around, or only stepping on a left arrow, or the arrows in up left right down order! I HATE the missions! They are POINTLESS and not very fun. I like to play through a song normally. That's why the invented modifiers. Oh, and don't expect to play with the SOLO option. They cut that.
The song quality diminished. I look on the back, ugh. A Britney Spears song. That almost makes me NOT want to play. Too bad I'm addicted. But at least they didn't put a Pet Shop Boys song in there (unless I didn't unlock it) This game has obviously conformed to popular American culture. I miss the Bemani style ORIGINAL music that was in the DDR MAX games, and let's not forget the great versions that were released for the Playstation. That's what made the game so unique and original.
All the extra features to me are a waste of time, like workout mode, and those stupid mini-games. DDR Extreme was bad enough, and it's sequel goes downhill. The Heavy songs are nowhere near as difficult as in the DDRMAX series.
What else is new? You can use your points earned to unlock songs, or arrow modifiers, or outfits. Yay! I want my character dressed in pink and butterfly arrows! (sarcasm) They also got rid of the most awesome character, EVIL-ZUKIN! If I want that character, I have to go back to DDRMAX 2.
I really don't plan on purchasing DDR Supernova anytime soon. Looks like I'll be switching over to DDR's rival, In the Groove!
