Author's Review
I had really done my homework when I decided to get this stroller. I have a nine year old and a seven month old. When my oldest daughter was small, I went through a few strollers looking for the perfect one. So when I registered for this stroller when I was pregnant with my son, I knew what I wanted. All my friends were registering for the travel systems, except me.
What this stroller has is the big wheels, which make it so easy to get around anywhere. It is so easy to move around, the wheels turn very easily. The handle bar is a great height for my husband(5'10) and I (5'2"). The baby can face away from you or toward you. The seat reclines. There is a cup and snack tray for baby, which is removable, and a cup holder for the parent, although I do wish there was a parent tray. The basket underneath, is very big, which is great. The option to remove the seat and use the infant car seat is great. We did that quite a bit when he was smaller. It is easy to do too. My son seems very comfortable in this stroller and likes it very much.
The problem I have is sometimes I have a hard time folding and unfolding the stroller. I have struggled in parking lots trying to fold or unfold it, while getting very irritated. I suggest practicing and getting the hang of it first. It is also pretty heavy, I am not the strongest, but I manage pretty well. It is quite bulky and takes up alot of room in the trunk of our car. I really want to take this stroller on vacation to the beach, but I don't know if we will have the room.
I recently bought a cheap, smaller stroller to take along when I don't want to drag along the big stroller, but it doesn't even compare. The small one just does not have any of the conveniences the Kolcraft Contours has. I use this stroller in the mall, going for walks, pretty much anywhere. I am definitely happy with my purchase of this stroller and I feel it is well worth the price.
