Inexpensive, high quality, easy to operate. That about sums it up. We upgraded our old digital camera to this camera about a year ago. I cannot tell you how many professional photographer grade photos with have taken with it. The camera is incredibly easy to operate so it is great for a novice. However, if you are more advanced it has plenty of features to keep you company as well. Pick up a couple of SD media cards when you get this camera. I was shocked that it didn't come with a rechargeable battery pack but I cannot complain for the price. I would definitely recommend getting the Kodak rechargeable battery pack as this baby will eat regular and rechargeable AAs like you will not believe.
Every year our company takes clients on a trip to the Masters golf tournament. I would get very frustrated trying to get a decent photo of Tiger Woods and the other PGA players during the practice rounds. This camera has INCREDIBLE ZOOM. You can take photos from a very long distance away and they come out crystal clear. This is by far the best feature and the main reason we bought it. If you have kids that play sports, you will love how you can get a close up of the action.
We regularly print 20x30 pictures and the quality is amazing. Even zooming in from a long way off, you can still produce a high quality 8x10. Grab 1 GB or 2 GB SD media card and you can take over 500 photographs or a couple of hours of video.
If you have a digitial photo frame, grab a couple of small SD cards. Take your pictures, edit out the ones you don't like and then slam the card into the frame. Let people stop in your office and just stare at the electronic photo album. Bored of the same album? Slam in another SD card and view other photos. On my desk, I have everything from my wedding to the birth of my first daughter.
With Kodak Gallery online, pictures are easy to upload and cheap to reproduce. You can share photos with anyone with an email address. They can order THEIR OWN photos instead of you paying and shipping them all the time. We absolutely love this camera and the various ancillary Kodak services.
