Great for the enthusiast, easy enough for the novice

by   maggiperk ,  Jul 26, 2006
Pros: User friendly interface, fantastic pictures, reduced shutter lag, lots of bells and whistles
Cons: Lens cap tends to pop off, slow write time, larger than a point and shoot
The Bottom Line: Great for those who need more than a point and shoot, but also want something easy to use. Pictures are amazingly crisp. Fantastic value.
Review: When I first switched to digital back in 2001 I was overwhelmed with the frustration of shutter-lag. Yes, the images were available instantly, but what was the point if I had missed the shot. So, my first generation digital was soon replaced by a ...

Something different

by   dmk9561 ,  Oct 14, 2008
Pros: Wide-angle lens, gorgeous images, manual zoom ring, easy to use, versatile
Cons: No image stabilization, time lapse unavailable with slow shutter, no panoramas, problems w/durability
The Bottom Line: Would gladly recommend to anyone.  It's easy and good.
Review: This is my fifth digital camera. It's a great companion for the P712 that I've had for about a year. Between the two of them, I've got 24-432mm covered, 605 if you include the 1.4 teleconverter. I've never had that sort of versatility. Specifically ...

Pros: Excellent value, great superwide zoom lens, rich colors, movie mode, 8 megapixels.
Cons: some people who are more into "image" laugh at the name Kodak...too "consumer."
The Bottom Line: i bought the Kodak P880 and love it. It has an excellent superwide zoom, vibrant colors, 8 megapixels for detail, and video. it is a great value.
Review: I just returned from New Zealand (beautiful country!) and the Kodak P880 did a superb job. The Kodak P880 has a 24 mm superwide zoom that really pulls in the scenery. Great wide vistas all in one shot! it si also excellent for portraits. The Kodak ...

by   buynshoot ,  Nov 23, 2005
Pros: 8 Mega Pixels RAW file option Wide 24mm - 104 Zoom 50ISO 'Share' capable
Cons: slow focus in dark lighting
The Bottom Line: For anyone looking to step up from a point and shoot camera. All your standard prorammed features of a compact coupled with many 'pro-like' features.
Review: The P-880 is Kodak’s latest 8 mega-pixel prosumer digital camera. At a glance, the camera contains many professional features including RAW file capture, a wide 24-140mm (35mm equivalent) zoom, 50 ISO film base rating and shutter speeds up to 1/4000th of ...
