A nice accessory

Last month I bought a Kodak P850 camera. Last week I borrowed a P20 external flash from a friend. The flash is somewhat compact (smaller than a Nikon SB-26). The flash swivels from 45 to 90 degrees with several stops between. The head does not have a lock nor can it pivot side to side. Overall the flash made a nice accessory to the camera. You can use both internal and P20 flashes at the same time. Both flashes fire in a coordinated manner. I took pictured with the flash at my daughters basketball game. Which the combination of the camera's 12x zoom and the external flash I was able to get some pretty well lit pictures even about 25 feet away. The P20 flash is well constructed and feels sturdy enough to last a while. Although, its not nearly as sturdy and well constructed as a Nikon SB- type flash. In terms of value I think the flash is a bit pricey at $150. I've seen them as low as $102 on-line but I think the price should be about $50 - $75 range.

Maybe other flash manufacturers with make a P20-like flash for the Kodak P850 and 880 and then the price might come down a bit.
