Pros: Small, lightweight, 7.1MP 12X zoom; accepts SD/MMC memory cards; compatible with EasyShare Printer Dock Plus.
Cons: None so far.
The Bottom Line: If you need a compact, lightweight, versatile, 7.1MP digital camera, loaded with features, look no further then the Kodak EasyShare Z-712IS.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I loathe computer class; sounds funny coming from a self-avowed computer geek and IT Professional, but there is the bare naked truth. But occasionally I walk away from a course with more than just cursory knowledge of this or that new software...

Pros: Phenomenal camera at a fantastic price with a zoom to knock your socks off
Cons: No hotshoe, no RAW support
The Bottom Line: Buy this or regret it forever!

Review: I want to begin by agreeing with everything that shamino says in his review of this camera. If you are thinking that a good camera has to be made in Japan, this one can change your mind. I paid $180 plus tax (at Dell.com using PayPal) and couldn't...

Pros: 12x zoom, great picture quality, fast action.
Cons: Poor documentation. Doesn't include rechargeable batteries.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this for anyone who is not a professional but wants more power than just a simple camera.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Kodak cameras have always impressed me. They offer much more of a camera than anybody else does at the same price point. The Z712IS is no exception.
I bought this camera because of its 12x zoom lens and 7.1MP resolution. I frequently... |

Pros: Price, excellent zoom, some control over features.
Cons: Can't use filters, can't control white balance. Not a camera to grow with.
The Bottom Line: 4* for beginners. Lens/antishake feature worth the money. 2* if you want to learn about photography. Other features just aren't there.

Review: My search for a new camera started when my Nikon 5700 died. That camera was at the perfect level for me. It would take pictures automatically when that was called for, but gave me control over most of the features (focusing being the major...

Pros: Good pictures.
Cons: Short battery life. This camera eats them fast.
The Bottom Line: I would buy it again but think that Kodak needs to improve their camera batteries so they last longer then 20 pictures.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera but could find nothing negative so I bought it. At the time it was priced at around $400.00 and came with a "free printer." There were two batteries included and a charger. I charged the...

Pros: Nice Zoom, cool features
Cons: Blurry pictures on "easy" mode, NO rechargeable battery or charger -- kodak marketing trick
The Bottom Line: Not recommended-- try something else

Review: I bought this for the zoom, and for the price. The zoom works as advertised.
However, compared to much cheaper Panasonic and Canon that I had in the past, this one takes alot of blurry pictures. The camera has lots of settings and I have... |

Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Great Camera: Great Pictures, Great Video

Review: I bought this digital camera because I love taking photos. It definitely exceeds my expectations. With the kodak reputation and a maximum 7.1 megapixel capability, it takes wonderful and clear pictures; never seems to disappoint me.

Pros: -12x optical zoom -Image stabilization -High-ISO mode
Cons: -Rechargeable battery/charger not included -AA batteries won't work -QuickTime video -Lack of on-camera firmware features
The Bottom Line: If possible, find a camera that runs on AA rechargeables and records MPEG video.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: The main feature that sold me on this camera was the good 12x zoom lens. In retrospect I should have thought it through further and bought something else.
The camera firmware is pretty basic, although Kodak for some reason thought adding... |

Cons: lens cap, narrow neck strap
The Bottom Line: For a simple, point and shoot type, this camera really does have it all.

Review: I've owned this camera for over 9 months and am very pleased with it. It's not bulky or heavy, but yet packs a big camera punch! I love taking photos of my kids, landscape, flowers, the moon, close ups, indoor, outside, and shallow depth of field...
