Great for Parents

by   wordplaya ,  Apr 30, 2008
Pros: photo quality, picture options, HD video
Cons: tends to freeze for five second intervals at random. gets annoying very fast.
The Bottom Line: I believe this is a great camera for regular people. It's not too advanced, but it still has a lot of options.
Review: My previous camera had died because the screen broke when my lovely toddler got his hands onto it, so when looking for a new camera, I wanted something a little more durable. I also wanted a kodak since my previous camera was a kodak, and i had a ...

Good still images but poor video

by   cdale17 ,  Dec 12, 2008
Pros: High resolution, high zoom camera with great still pic capability. Great MP4 video compression
Cons: Shaky video and slow refresh after 3 pics. Bulky for a "pocket" camera
The Bottom Line: Great camera with lots of options. Not "great" for HD video and sequential shots of more than 3 photos.
Review: This Kodak camera is great on the specs but does not perform quite up to expectations. The specs on this camera are: - 12 Megapixels  -  5x Schneider-Kreznach Variogon Optical zoom lens - 2.5 in LCD - High ISO ...

Excellent "Point & Shoot" camera

by   floridadoc ,  Dec 31, 2007
Pros: Uses standard AA batteries, good "out of box" experience, excellent price for features and performance.
Cons: Had to update firmware, video quality is only "adequate to good" at higher resolutions.
The Bottom Line: I happy with this purchase and would buy it again -- especially with post holiday season pricing.
Review: My 10-year old daughter wanted a digital camera for Christmas after taking a "Digital Photography for Kids" class on the weekend. Therefore, I was looking for a small, capable and durable camera. She's not a "techno nerd," but she is clearly aware of ...

Excellent digital camera for everyday use

by   pooflay ,  Dec 30, 2007
Pros: Good on batteries, Easy to use and small.
Cons: Night pictures turn out blurry if you do not have the camera on a tripod.
The Bottom Line: Easy for anyone to use. Great Kodak quality. The camera is not bulky. Easy to use Kodak software came with my camera and it is also easy to use!
Review: We decided to purchase this camera to replace two older units we have already had for many years. In the past two months we have used this camera for many different things; from low light indoor shots to action shots, to outdoor snow photos and ...

If details are important, get it

by   litesong ,  Dec 20, 2007
Pros: 12MP rectangular or panoramic.
Cons: Rotten manual
The Bottom Line: For those wishing near the sharpest pix in a small camera, the Kodak Z1275 is a good choice.
Review: The Kodak Z1275's 12MP pictures are sharper than my 5 MP Kodak. Been lots of people saying 12MP is wasted on cameras with small sensors. The Kodak doesn't have the smallest light sensor, so really does take advantage of the 12MP. Out-of-focus portions of ...

Great Camera for the Novice

by   punkinpie811 ,  Mar 14, 2008
Pros: Lightweight, small, takes very nice pictures in bright light.
Cons: Slow /confused autofocus, movies are poor, menus may be cumbersome to get through, eats batteries.
The Bottom Line: I do like this camera but was expecting more.
Review: I bought this camera when it was relatively new to replace my aging 2003 Kodak DX3900 3.1 megapixel. At first, I was completely enamored with this product. It's so much smaller and lighter than my old one. The camera is easy to use right out of ...

Amazing Camera!

by   mikeyb1987 ,  Aug 3, 2008
Pros: 12mp 5x Optical zoom Ease of use Price if cheap.
Cons: Battery life
The Bottom Line: I got the camera for a good deal. With 12mp and 5x optical zoom, you cant go wrong!
Review: I have owned a 2 other Kodak Digital Cameras, but this one is the best so far. I had been looking for a camera that had a lot of optical zoom. Digital zoom is software enhanced zoom that tends to make the picture fuzzy as you use more digital zoom. ...

Patience... Its worth it!

by   tarazoe ,  May 3, 2008
Pros: Very good pic quality, zoom, smaller size
Cons: "Processing" freeze up
Review: It's a good camera, but between taking pics, it freezes and says 'Processing' which is very annoying. I noticed it does this if you press a couple or more buttons too close interval together. It has many different options that you can use to take ...

Great video but noisy photos and poor indoor performance ruin the camera

by   lousygolfer ,  Dec 14, 2007
Pros: Excellent high resolution video, manual mode, compact size, 5x optical zoom
Cons: Poor and very noisy image quality. Very poor low-light performance 12mp=gimmick
The Bottom Line: Unless you plan to use the video mode a lot, there's no good reason to buy this camera instead of one of its better competitors.
Review: 2.5 stars I bought a Z1275 and returned it because it does a poor job with indoor photos and generally takes very noisy photos. General Info on the Camera: - 12mp compact camera w/metallic grey plastic body - Schneider-Kreuznach 38x150 (35mm ...

Nice for the Price

by   sweetlilwookim ,  Mar 24, 2008
Pros: The lens cap. It open automatacally when the power is turned on. And closes likewise.
Cons: Autofocus lock is shotty.  The thumb-pad for navigating the menus is not for big hands.
The Bottom Line: It is 200 bucks. What do you expect. When is cost $50 to fill your truck up. It's worth at least that much I feel.
Review: I’ve had this camera now for about a month. I originally bought the camera because of its low price. I was simply looking for a camera with A high mega-pixel rating and A low price. My needs were simply a good camera to take some pictures to put my ...
