My Batteries won't charge!

Pros: Easy to use, light weight and good price for the bundle

Cons: does not charge non-kodak batteries, some color processing issues in video mode.

The Bottom Line: Great for anyone on a tight budget. Get at least a 1GB SD card with the bundle at walmart.

Hey folks, I recently purchased this camera without performing any research... however, I did do research on the c743. The Kodak c703 has the exact same specs. and manual as the c743, and the same price WITH a docking station, for approximately $160 at Walmart. Follow this url:

With the $160 I received the camera, 2 AA alkaline batteries 1 set of rechargeable batteries 1 usb cable for the camera the charging/sharing dock, another usb cable and a power supply for the dock.

Overall I like the camera. I was impressed with how i would violently move the camera back and forth and take a picture and it would not be very blurry at all. There are a lot of settings to suit your fancy.

The photos are approximately 3200x2400 pixels. Most images at the highest pixel rate of 7.1MP only end up being about 1mb in size with the .jpg compression it uses and are great for prints. I also purchased a 1GB SD card to go with it and can store about 700+ images on it. It's good to go for the week.

I did have one miff so far about it. I did not want to spend any extra on "other stuff," but I had to purchase a battery recharger. This is only due to the Kodak c703 not being able to charge anything but kodak brand when in the dock/charger. This is my only disappointment so far. But now I have quite a few rechargeables to take with us.

My favorite feature is the video mode. You can take quicktime movies up to approx. 35 min with a 1GB card. The playback looks great despite some color processing issues. I can save the .mov files to the computer for editing.
