Author's Review
I received a Kodak Easy Share C703 digital camera as a gift about three months ago. This is my second Kodak Easy Share camera. While there are many great features with the Easy Share camera, there are a few drawbacks with this particular model that you might care to know.
Pluses:
Easy to operate, the screen gives general information and instructions each time a button is pushed or the dial is moved.
Takes quality photos, clear with excellent color, no washed out photos.
This is a cost effective camera, definitely worth the money.
Easy to download pictures to your PC.
Kodak software has an easy to use setup, placing photos into albums.
Without additional memory card, this camera will hold approximately 25 photos.
Has video recording capabilities.
Excellent battery life with the chargeable batteries.
Minuses:
The flash doesn't always activate quickly enough, resulting in very dark photos.
When taking a picture, there is a 3-4 second delay from the time you press the button to when the picture is actually taken, so if you're taking pictures of activity, there is a good chance of missing your shot.
The Kodak software is not exactly email friendly. I have yet to figure out HOW to email a photo from this software, and it does not allow and outside program such as Hotmail to browse photos and use as attachments, but you CAN download the photos into different programs from the camera.
Does not have as many features for picture variations as more advanced cameras would.
In short, this is a great camera for intermediate users. It is perfect for life's daily events, birthday parties, holidays, vacations Etc. If you are looking for a great everyday camera, this is it.
