More Troubles to Report!

Pros:  It looks good.

Cons:  Who knows what would have happened if someone were actually using it regularly?!

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

I purchased this unit in October of '05 but due to construction delays did not accept delivery until mid-December. I found out KitchenAid starts your warranty from date of purchase even though it is sitting in their warehouse in a box!!!! It meant that I would have to buy an extended warranty after 9 months. I did not since this is a 2nd home and the appliances get very little use. I mistakenly thought the products would hold up with limited use by adults.

The control panel and the electric controls on this unit went shortly after the warranty expired. KitchenAid agreed to provide the parts after lengthy, time-consuming discussions, but refused to cover the $100 in labor.

This is after my Whirlpool dishwasher (made by KitchenAid) blew its control panel and after only one cycle, then blew the thermal fuse.

Three repairs on appliances that get very little use. I'd be surprised if the dishwasher was used a dozen times.

Avoid this brand. They should take some of the money they spend on glossy advertisements and put it toward making reliable products. They could also invest in improving customer relations.
