The Bottom Line: I recommend the KitchenAid 5 Speed Classic Hand Mixer to anyone who wants a powerful, reliable mixer that will easily tuck under the counter or in a drawer.

This is a great mixer! I selected this mixer because I trusted the KitchenAid name and knew I didn't want a big stand mixer cluttering my kitchen. I'm very happy with the selection.

I do a lot of baking and the mixer has never let me down. It has quite a bit more power than I expected from a hand mixer... certainly more than other hand mixers I've used.

It's very well designed. It's lightweight and easy to hold. The speed button is conveniently located. The smooth rounded body is easy to wipe clean. The wire beaters are very easy to clean.

I haven't had any trouble inserting the beaters as some reviewers have mentioned. In my experience, the beaters easily snap into place.
