This is the way we mix things up...
Date of Review: Jul 19, 2000
I recieved this mixer for a gift approx. 6 yrs. ago. Ok, you caught me, actually I took something back, exchanged it, and purchased the mixer.
There thats off my chest LOL
When I bought the Kitchen Aid I knew based upon what I'd heard, it could very well last me the rest of my life.
I have the basic model and it's taken care of every mixing need I've come up with so far.
I've mixed everything from cookie dough, to frosting, to meatloaf (my favorite thing to use it for, your hands don't get all messy), even playdo for the kids !!
I've also added a few attachments since I purchase my mixer.
My favorite is the roto-slicer-shredder. I often by things in bulk and pre-grate them and put them in the freezer.
I buy big blocks of cheese, grate them and freeze them in smaller portions.
I buy carrots, zuchini and similar vegetables and do the same, so they're available for baking etc.
I also purchased an extra mixing bowl which comes in very handy to me when baking over the holidays.
And to tell you what kind of company Kitchen Aid is.....they totally stand behind their product !!!
After I had my mixer approx. 2 yrs. was when I purchased my first add on, so I didn't know until then that where you attach them up on the head of the mixer that something was wrong. I found out when I tried to attach my first attachment, and immediately thought "Oh great" because of course I no longer had the receipt.
I called Kitchen Aid just to see what they'd say, without hesitation they sent me a replacement mixer, and a call tag for my old one !!
And I had the new one in about a week or 10 days max !!
You don't find companies these days that stand behind their product often, this came as a very refreshing change !!
I would definitely recommend the Kitchen Aid because as many years as it will last it will surely be worth the price you pay for it up front !
Happy Mixing !!
