NOT a Good Experience

Received this appliance for my birthday. Used it twice. On the second use, the heating element failed. Called KitchenAid and was told that a new unit would be on my doorstep in 10-14 business days, and that I should put the defective one in the same box and call them to pick it up. Five weeks later, nothing. I called them again, and the guy said the units were on backorder and it would be 2-4 weeks. I reminded him that it had ALREADY been 5 weeks, to which he replied, "Yes, it will take 4-6 weeks."

I then returned the unit to Williams Sonoma, who replaced it on the spot, no questions asked.

I am not happy with KitchenAid's failure to provide anything resembling reasonable warranty service on a defective unit that failed on the second use.
