KitchenAid Artisan KSM150PSSM 325 Watts Stand Mixer

I have never been on to enjoy spending a lot of time in the kitchen and never thought I would ever by or need a mixer other than my little cheap hand mixer.

My daughter is on a gluten free and otherwise restricted diet, forcing me to learn to make my own bread, pizza dough, cakes , etc from scratch.
I decided to go ahead and invest in a good mixer. Kitchen Aid was the only brand I really considered - I remembered my grandmother had one that seemed to last forever and my friend has one that is probably 20 or more years old and works as well as the day it was bought.


I have not regretted a penny I have spent on this machine- it is sturdy, very smooth operating, easy to use, and has a variety of attachments to meet my mixing and kneading needs.

This machine also has the flexibility of being able to add other attachments to make it a multipurpose kitchen appliance. I am looking forward to purchasing the grain mill attachment for it.

This machine comes in many colors to fit in with any decor.

It comes with one large bowl that locks in place and a splatter guard to make the job as mess free as possible
On the whole, this appliance is very easy to clean. I tend to avoid difficult to clean appliances- they are frustrating to me and my time is valuable to me also, the more nooks and crannies there are to get clogged up- the faster the machine will break down- I assure you- this is not a problem with this Kitchen Aid Mixer.
In this day and age when it is common to have to replace expensive appliances every few years, I am confident that I will still be enjoying the use of my Kitchen Aid mixer when I am baking for my grandchildren.

The machine is heavy but this is to be expected considering that it does the job it was designed to do quite efficiently and it is not cheaply built- you will not likely want to move it around a lot but since mine fits in so nicely with my kitchen decor, I don't mind it having a permanent place on my counter top.
