Paid Top Price for Dirty Dishes!!!!!

I remodeled my kitchen last year and purchased all Kitchenaid stainless appliances.  I decided to spring for the higher end of the Kitchenaid dishwashers.  I chose the Kitchenaid brand because I liked the look of them and Kitchenaid is made by Whirlpool.  I had previously had a Whirlpool dishwasher for 13 years  and never had a repair.  It cleaned all dishes fabulously.  It had a disposal in the bottom so I never rinsed a dish.  My Kitchenaid dishwasher has already had two repairs and it still doesn't clean the dishes.  There is left on food and hard water streaks on everything even though I use Cascade and Jet Dry.  My hard anodized pots look terrible with all the streaks and I have to scrub out the white coating so I can cook with them!  The repairman tried to blame it on the hard water but I never had this problem with my Whirlpool and I never had to use Jet Dry.  I'm so upset by this because I had to fight with my husband to justify paying so much for a dishwasher.  My argument was that it would work really well and be very quiet.  I'm the type of girl that believes in "you get what you pay for".  Boy, was I wrong!!  Now I fear that I'm going to have to purchase another dishwasher from another brand and it won't match my other Kitchenaid stainless appliances.  FYI:  my other Kitchenaid appliances aren't that great either!  Definitely not getting what I paid for!!!
