Great mixer!!!!

I bought my Kitchen Aid Mixer refurbished off Amazon for $162.00 plus free shipping. It came about 10 days earlier than I expected and it has been great. Refurbished has a six month warranty but hey I can bake and mix a lot of foods in six months.

I bought this mixer because I wanted something stronger than a hand mixer. I was very willing to buy refurbished but I wanted a black one and yes I was holding out for free shipping. Kitchen Aid is a great brand with a great reputation and I can see why. This bad boy mixes up dough and meatloaf and mashed potatoes.... oh my!!!

I like to do a lot of cooking and baking and this mixer is more than up to the task. I don't find it too loud as others have commented on the noise. It is a powerful mixer and will make some noise. Avoid baking at 2AM and you'll avoid this problem!!!

If you make pancakes (for example) and you cut the recipe in half - as I sometimes do - you may need to stop and use a rubber scraper to make sure it is all mixed. In all fairness to the mixer it is made for larger jobs not tiny jobs. But that is a tiny complaint. I can make double batched of cookies and this guy just plows right through.

I have read other reviews complaining about certain features but I do not find anything wrong with it. I misplaced the registration that came with it and the Kitchen Aid folks were very understanding and mailed a new one out right away.
