Although I wouldn't normally recommend buying your wife a kitchen appliance for Christmas, this is the one exception to the rule! I received mine from my husband the 2nd year we were married, and I always tell him it was the best Christmas gift ever!
If you've ever struggled with a hand mixer or smaller mixer, once you try the KitchenAid Mixer, you'll fully appreciate all of its capabilities! This machine has so much power! With its 5-quart bowl, I can mix my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe that makes 7 dozen! If I'm taking the time to measure out all of the ingredients, at least I have a lot of fruit for my labor!
It also comes with a dough hook for making your own bread and a whisk attachment for beating egg whites for meringues, whipping cream, etc.
In addition, there are other attachments sold separately such as an ice cream maker, pasta maker and food grinder.
Okay, maybe I should only recommend this mixer if you love to cook or bake. I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if it's something you or your loved one enjoys, then you want to have the right tools, right? If you're looking for the best tool for the job, this is it!
