KitchenAid KHHS179LSS Microwave Oven Hood Combo

Absolutely love this microwave but was it worth all the hassle I am having with just one of the features. Let me explain. I had previously owned an above the range microwave. My kitchen was being overhauled and all appliances purchased were from Kitchenaid. The microwave works fabu lously. Large enough, bakes, grills, defrosts, automated everything.... even bakes cookies that taste good and the grill comes real close to real barbeque. Then what is the problem????

There is a feature that shows up on the screen that you can press the "Prepare" button and find out preparation instructions for cooking certain foods in certain cooking functions. My "prepare" button when pressed just brought you back to a manual cook screen. After about 20 (and I am not kidding) phone calls to Kitchenaid tech line and after replacing at least 3 computers, and 2 screens the problem is still not corrected.

Kitchenaid finally agreed to replace my unit and hopefully it will be arriving shortly. I would really like to know if anyone owns this unit and is able to press the "prepare" button and actually get information. If you can post a review, it would be appreciated. All the new computers that they replaced in my oven did not work either.

The appliance store where I purchased the microwave oven was willing to replace it for me with another brand. I really do think that it is an amazing oven and did not want another brand.... I just want it to work.
