Takes Forever To Toast!

I've been using this KitchenAid toaster oven for a couple weeks now. Because it is one of the most expensive toaster oven's (if not the most expensive) currently on the market, I expected all aspects of it's functionality to be best in it's class. Well, the toasting function is extremely disappointing. On the dark setting, it literally takes a solid 4 minutes to lightly toast a couple slices of bread (yes I timed it). I found the baking functionality to work ok. The baking pan holds plenty. I use it on the "bake" setting to make my kids things like french toast sticks, fish sticks, chicken nuggets and fries. The oven functionality does do a good job, but does take a couple extra minutes to cook then my previous DeLonghi toaster oven. The easy access crumb tray is a great feature. It slides out with ease from the front of the toaster (not inside under the heating elements like most others). Rinse it off, wipe it down and slide it right back in. Because of the amount of time it takes to toast, I am considering returning it. Don't know if I will though. I guess I am actually getting use to waiting 4 minutes for toast!
