Kidsline is Mighty Fine
Date of Review: Apr 18, 2008
The Bottom Line: A great, long-lasting, and versatile set that will make any baby happy.
I drug my husband with me to make this bedding decision. I thought he'd pick a sports theme but to my surprise he chose Malawi. I wasn't thrilled about it at first but I grew to like it.
It was easy to find small stuffed animals to coordinate with the decor and use for accents on top of the dresser. The colors were very versatile and easily matched to other brand name sheets. In fact, I rarely used the included Kidsline sheet because I thought it was kind of rough and too busy. I preferred a solid flannel or cotton knit sheet.
Otherwise, I loved the entire set. Even after we moved our child out of the crib and into a bed with railings, I put the bumper around the inside of the railings.
I washed the quilt and even the bumper several times and it held up well. In fact, I just sold the set for almost half of it's original price on ebay - testament to how well it holds its' value.
The best part of the set was when I would find my infant talking and cooing to the animals on the bumper as if they were his friends. I appreciated the variety of textures on the appliques and found them all sturdy and solidly attached.
I was impressed with the wide variety of other coordinating products such as lamps and rugs that this line has. We bought ours at Babies R Us but there are many resources on the internet that sell the same line.
