4th try

Love the swing, but... I exchanged this swing for the third time. This one seems to work fine.

THE GOOD STUFF:
My newborn baby loved the swing--it was great for napping. Sometimes I think she looks a bit awkward in it, but was not an issue.
It takes up little floor space and I can move it from room to room--a bit awkward w/baby in tow, but do-able. The other thing I like about it is that it folds up compactly for storage and for travel--I plan on taking it camping with me. While I realized the bouncy seat was ample entertainment and we didn't need the swing for a short weekend, it never took up much room in the house and tucked away nicely until we need it for baby #2 (coming in January!).

THE YUCKY STUFF:
I am concerned about quality control though--the 1st one I tried had a defective screw-couldn't use it, exchanged; 2nd one out of the box had a defective motor-batteries worked but wouldn't swing, exchanged; 3rd one was great for 2 1/2 weeks until it wouldn't swing anymore either, and the brand new batteries were corroded (chicken or egg?); now I just exchanged it again and jeeez, I think I'm a pro at putting it together-cross your fingers for me. Babies R Us was great and made exchanges easy, but it was still a hassle and I have strong doubts about the durability of the Boppy swing's motor.
