Best around!!!!

We have two of these in wood. One at the top of my stairs and one at the bottom.

I decided on this gate for a few reasons:
1. Some friends of mine had purchased the same one and LOVED it!
2. It was attached to the wall but was easy to swing open.
3. It was available in wood too!!
And,
4. It was expandable to fit any space within my house (within reason, without extensions).
Also, the baby proofer that I had hired to come into my home and "proof" my house, said that in his time as a baby proofer, he was YET to find a better gate!

My son is 2.3 yrs old. He is yet to figure the lock out! I have had many adults ask me to help them figure out the lock too.

The way you open this gate is easy. It is a one hand operation. You hold in a button while lifting the gate. Something a toddler cannot grasp. The gate is very light and with my two year old on my hip and sometimes with the unlocking hand almost full, I'm still able to manage it.

I have tried many gates, mostly pressure and some extension gates, but this is by far the best.

I highly recommend this gate to ANYONE, whether they are trying to train a new puppy, or keep their children out of a space.
