A gamepad made for classic gaming.

I picked up this gamepad in late 2002 when looking for a controller that was well suited for playing classic 8-bit, and 16-bit era games. The Gamepad Pro is identical to the original Sony Playstation controller in both feel and design. The original Playstation was praised for having the most comfortable controller, and the Gamepad Pro is no different. You will be able to use it comfortably when playing for an extensive amount of hours.

The buttons are responsive, so you always feel like you're in control of the game. The drivers and software for the controller are a bit of a challenge to find online, but the controller can be configured using the game controllers item in the Windows XP control panel. After finding and installing the software, I discovered that it doesn't really offer anything that I wasn't able to do via the Windows control panel. The Gamepad Pro is plug and play, so drivers are also not needed for the controller to function properly.

After owning it for all these years, it still works as well as the day I bought it. The quality of the product's build is quite impressive. The only downfall is the controller doesn't stack up well to the needs of modern gamers. Most modern games require a controller with analog control. The Gamepad Pro does not have analog sticks, so for these games you'll have to revert to using the keyboard and mouse. For any game that was released during the Playstation era and before, this is the ideal controller.
