Surprised to be Disappointed.

I was determined to have this sunshade. My husband and I went back and forth, he was after a different version, while I would hear non of it, I was sure the Kelty Sunshade was right for us. We have two young children and I thought this would be perfect whether we were in the backyard, at the beach or car camping.

The first day we used the shade, it was windy, but not enough to need the guide wires, and we secured the shade with the stakes only. When taking the shade down that afternoon we noticed that one of metal pieces connecting the poles had been bent. I called Kelty and they were great, I sent the pole back and had a replacement within a week.

The very next time we used the sun shade we noticed that all three of the poles have more than one segment that have split. I just send them back to Kelty for repair today.

We have always been impressed with the quality of Kelty products and continued to purchase them over the years. The Sunshade has been a different experience so far. In Kelty's defense, they are quick to fix the problem. I just wish there wasn't one.

I agree with other review saying that the shade is a great one. I love the height, the amount of shade, the ease of setup. I have just been dooped by the pole issues we are having.
