Oh what a tent!!

I purchased my Kelty Mantra 7 Tent 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. Last summer we spent 3 weeks camping in PEI Canada and had 7 straight days of rain. Under the tent we had a small lake and the floor felt like a water bed but the inside of the tent was absolutely dry. This tent has plenty of space, we have a family of 4 plus a dog and there is still room for baggage. We could easily sleep 2-3 more if needed. The tent features a full fly with a vestibule with room for more storage and provides a place to change out of a wet bathing suit. Interior pockets provide storage for loose items, magazines, flashlights etc.. There is two separate inner tent doors that allow the use of the room divider. The aluminum poles are outstanding, we had 40-60 mph winds on more than night and the tent withstood all punishment. The next morning our neighbors had broken poles, missing tarps and were soaked while our biggest dilemma was what to have for breakfast. The Mantra 7 is very easy to set up and take down. Two people can set this tent up in about 10-15 minutes and alone can be set up in 15-20 minutes. The main tent has 2 poles and attach at the bottom corners and 1 pole that into clips on to the center of the front and back. Once the main tent is up, the full fly is pulled over the main tent and then is snapped to the tent in several places. The pole for the fly is then clipped to the front corners where the main tent poles attach. The rest of the fly is then staked out using the aluminum stakes to the nylon guides attached to the fly. The only rope required is the staking out of the lower side vents. If you are looking for an outstanding family tent with a large amount of room, this is the tent for you. This tent is somewhat more expensive but is well worth price. It turned what would have been 7 days of wet hell into an enjoyable experience.
