couldn't be more sturdy

The Bottom Line: very safe and comfortable
several months ago, when our daughter was still a newborn, i took our 100 lb chesapeake bay retriever for a walk w/ our daughter in the kangaroo. i met up with some girlfriends for coffee. we fastened my dogs leash to one of the chairs. the friend who was sitting it the chair stood up...and my dog, frightened by the sudden movement, took off....dragging the chair with her, which scared her even more. to make a long story short, i ended up trying to grab my dog as she started to run out into traffic. she's so strong, that she pulled me over. i landed on my elbows and knees, skinning all of them. my daughter didn't have a scratch. the kelty carrier kept her safe and secure through the entire, awful event. (ps. another friend caught my dog a few moments later...she was okay too. we no longer leash her to anything under 200 lbs). we have used the carrier a lot since then. its easy to nurse with and comfortable for me (5'7") and my husband (6'4") to wear. my only gripes are that its very bulky and that babies have to nap vertically if they doze off.
