Hot fresh coffee with Braun.

This is a common thing heard at my house. I love a cup of freshly ground coffee.

The way I got introduced to the Braun Coffee Grinder was in college. I was working for a doctor who insisted we have freshly ground coffee every morning. I guess he wanted to make sure that I continued to have freshly ground coffee after I left his employment. The first Christmas I worked for him he bought me this coffee grinder and it is still a mainstay of my kitchen.

You can grind enough coffee to make one twelve cup pot of coffee. I have a confession to make. I can drink twelve cups of coffee by myself in one day.

I like the fact that this appliance is easy to use. You must first take off the plastic lid. You fill the metal container with coffee beans or even spices like pepper corns. Replace the lid and push down on the black plunger. It takes me less than 30 seconds to get the consistency I like for my drip coffee maker.

You can adjust the grind depending on your preference. I either put less in the container so I can easier watch the consistency or change the time I leave the beans in the grinder to get the perfect size. It is fun to find just what you like.

Be warned that this is a loud appliance. I have no idea how to avoid the shockingly loud grinding. If it is too much for you first thing in the morning I recommend doing the grinding at night and having your coffee maker ready to go for the morning.

I never actually wash my coffee grinder. I brush it out and move the blades to get any extra grounds that are left.

I like to have fresh spices for Thanksgiving. I grind cinnamon for all of my baking. I think it tastes much better when fresh.

I often see the Braun Coffee Grinder on sale for 19.95. I think with a pound of coffee beans it is a great gift for most people. If you know someone who isn't too handy in the kitchen this is wonderful for them. This will help them feel like they can do something in the kitchen. I know it was in my case.
