Simple, but does the job well

The Braun KSM2 coffee grinder is a simple to use and operate coffee grinder. You just pour the coffee beans into the see through lid, flip it over and place it on the grinder and press the grinder button. It's that simple. No adjustment knobs to set, no grinding fineness switch to set or any other things to do. Even a child can operate it, although that's not recommended.

It basically has a plastic, see through, graduated, measuring cup and lid that, when flipped over, covers the top of the coffee grinder. The plastic cover has a safety switch that only turns on the grinder when placed correctly over the grinder and the button is pressed. Once pressure is released on the button, the grinder stops grinding. This is a nice safety feature to prevent accidental grinding or overheating of the grinder. The grinder is composed of an "S" shaped stainless steel blade that is very powerful with a 150W motor and can grind not only coffee beans, but nuts, spices, beans and other grains. So, this grinder can replace a household grain grinder, thus you get multi uses for it. The lid is ribbed on four sides to guide the beans into the blade and provide a much more even grind of the coffee. The lid can also hold up to 2.5 oz of beans or 60g or make up to 12 cups of coffee. At a height of only 7.5 inches, the grinder hardly takes up much space in the kitchen. At the base of the grinder is an area where the grinder's electric cord can be wrapped around to conserve more space and be safely placed. The grinder comes in either white or black.

The grinder is relatively easy to clean as all that's required is a wipe of the smooth grinder and blades. The plastic cup, as it is made of plastic, can be prone to static cling if wiped with a clean cloth so it's advisable to use a wet cloth to wipe the powdered coffee away or use a brush to clean it.

One con about the grinder is that since it is a very simple grinder, for someone who is into setting a specific grind of coffee may be a bit disappointed. The grind of the coffee is dependent on the amount of time that the grinder is turned on so the user must experiment with the length of time he/she turns it on and the grind that is made. But, for the price and its simplicity, this is a great coffee grinder. The blades are very sharp, the grinder is very durable. I've owned my grinder for more than 5 years and it is still working as well as the day I bought it.

As I am a happy owner of this grinder, I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a simple, durable and dependable coffee grinder.
