JUNO; Up for Oscar's Best Film, Actress, Director, and Screenwriter

The Bottom Line: Though I don't consider this film Oscar material I do believe it to be quite entertaining, displaying excellent acting and direction and depicting moral courage.
Review: I was late seeing this film. It already made its first rounds. It's in theatres now and I'm happy the film Juno received a nod for Oscar nominations for Best Film Actress, Director, and Screenwriter. More about that in a bit.

Juno and I know That Small Town Folk Ain't So Constantly Witty

The Bottom Line: This movie works as a coming of age story starring an actress who plays the role with great deadpan humor, but also real teenage vulnerability.

Review: While Juno is a good indie-dramedy that is easily one of the best of its kind, its quirks and pops come at a time when they're so typical that they're familiar. Little Miss Sunshine, Rocket Science. Etc., etc. -- all of these feel-good underdog...
