Author's Review

Elementary school is hard for anyone, but when you have glasses it makes it even tougher. There I was in the second grade, sitting at the back of the classroom. Day after day the words started getting blurrier and blurrier, until one day I finally had enough and, being a very talkative and loud child, I asked my teacher if I could sit in the front. Of course this got back to my mom, who was also a teacher at the same elementary school, and a week later I was sitting at my desk with pink, mighty large, glasses sitting on my little 8 year old nose. This was just the beginning of a life full of eye sight problems that didn’t seem to ever get better.

Now if you have had glasses you will agree, they are not the most stylish or most comfortable things to wear. There is always the worry of them getting broken, especially on a 8 year old. I went through more glasses and lenses than I can even start to count. So the ultimate convenience and luxury for glasses wearers would be contacts right?

The contact manufactures first came out with what is known as the “hard” contact lens. The name totally described how they felt. Another con was the fact they were not disposable. I remember accidentally dropping one down the sink drain and inventing every contraption I could imagine to try and retrieve it. They were expensive and hard to keep. So when the manufactures came out with the “soft,” disposable, contact lens, there were shouts of joy.

There has been many different types of these “soft,” disposable, lenses made over the years and each one has there own pro and con. As technology has rapidly grown so has the ability to make a more comfortable, more inexpensive contact lens that would be sure to get some attraction.

Now of course every eye is different and every person is going to greatly enjoy a different type of contact lens, but for me and a great number more, the Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contact lens hits the spot of comfort, inexpensiveness, and health for my eyes.

I have tried multiple different types of contacts. The list ranging from “hard” to the daily disposable contacts. However, it was not until I went to my eye doctor, was given a sample of the Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contact lenses, and popped one into my, almost blind, eye that I realized I have found what my eyes were looking for and I would never go back. They are designed to keep the moisture in, which allows your eyes the ability to not dry out as fast as they would with a normal pair of contacts in. The Oasys lenses also provide less stress with money due to the fact you will be saving money on eye drops and solution.

I give a 100% recommendation for anyone who has extra dry eyes or anyone who just wants to have eyes that feel refreshed day after day. Once you try these you will not turn your back on them. No more worrying about your glasses getting broken or your eyes becoming so painful and dry that you can’t even function normally. Say goodbye forever!
