Jet: A Who's Who In The African-American Culture

Date of Review: Nov 6, 1999

Only God knows how long I have been reading Jet! This magazine has gotten to be a regular pillar of the African-American or Black culture. Part of its mission is to showcase African-American and Black people's achievements in the US and the world. It is also about celebrities, movie stars, music industry stars, football stars, literature events, movers and shakers and political leaders.

In my travels to some countries with a predominantly black population, I encountered people trying to make sense of the articles. They may not be able to understand them, but they like seeing the pictures of the likes of Nelson Mandela, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Puff Daddy, Luther Vandross, Baby Face, Oprah Winfrey, B.B. King, and so on.

This magazine is informative and user-friendly. If you want to know who is who in the African-American community, Jet is the magazine to read and purchase.

I check it out for the great photos...You won't regret it either...

I recommend it to you, readers!
