Looks great, works great-. Reliable?
Pros:
Convenient features, bells and whistles, great looks!
Cons:
crumb-catching design, sensitive touch screen, quality/ reliability.
The Bottom Line:
It appeared to be the best oven for the money at the time. I think bosch now has a better unit though.

Author's Review
I've had this oven for about six months and it has exceeded all of my expectations. The last oven I owned was circa 1982, and I had no idea oven technology had advanced so far!
In terms of performance it bakes, broils, roasts and convects as you would expect, but what makes it most worthy of praise (in my epinion) is its bells and whistles. What I like:
- All functions are set via a glass touch screen keypad.
- You just 'type in' the temp. and cooking method you like.
- The LED screen displays the current temp. and setting.
- The oven has two timers which can run independently.
- It has a "keep food warm" setting.
- It has a temp. probe for roasting meat.
- The light comes on when you open the door.
- The display tells the time and day when the oven is off.
- It has a 'Help' button feature which walks you through all features.
- The window always stays cool to the touch.
- The curved front and stainless steel look great!
What I don't like:
- The curved front extends beyond the lip of the counter catches crumbs etc. (when we replaced our counter top, we had the section above the oven carved to follow the shape of the oven front, which keeps the crumbs off and looks neat).
- The touch screen seems to be an optical sensor, so if your leg brushes up against it while you are using the counter above, the oven thinks you are entering commands. It is unlikely you would accidentally turn it on, but it's annoying.
- When I first took delivery and installed it, the door did not line up properly. It was promptly adjusted by a technician, under warranty.
- Recently the broiler/top element stopped working. It turns out the electronics (not the element) are the problem, and it is a $700 part. My oven is on warranty, so it's just the hassle factor this time, but I hope this failure doesn't foretell future reliability.
