About my Jenn Air JGD8430AD

We have had this unit for about 2 years now and I really enjoy cooking on this grill. The large burner is great for getting my pans up to a high temp in a hurry, although the simmer burner puts out more heat than I thought it was going to, so keep an eye on your sauces. The two speed fan works great, I even had to dial it down a bit with the adjustable ring to keep the flames (on the burners) from getting sucked out.
 I haven't had any problems with this unit other than that the knobs which appear to be brushed stainless are actually plastic and break very easily. (I found this site because I was researching for cast knobs for this unit).
I do almost all the cooking in our house and designed our kitchen remodel from scratch. This Cooktop was my #1 choice.

My wife is not too happy about the cleanup because our whole countertop is black including the cooktop, this shows everything and is very difficult to keep looking good, Thats just our fault for choosing black, lol
I have also noticed that the grill itself has lost some of the ceramic coating, I'm sure this is normal due to the high heat generated at the tips during cooking.
