Jenn-Air JED8430 30 in. Electric Cooktop

When I first bought this cook-top, one of the "hot burner" lights stayed on all the time. Not a huge problem, but annoying. It was under warranty, and got fixed. Now the downdraft knob sticks (no longer under warranty). It is impossible to simmer anything on the large front burner--it is always way too hot. Good for searing. The downdraft shaft is in the middle of the cook-top--I wouldn't recommend this configuration on any model. Food falls down the long opening (which is about 2 feet deep) and the opening is too narrow to reach down into to clean. It is disgusting. I will not buy anything Jen-Air makes again.
