Terrible

The Bottom Line: Terrible.
The first reviewer summed up our feelings perfectly: 'Oh, how I hate this thing!"
I have spent more time keeping this cooktop clean (using a razor blade, the special glass cooktop cleaner, and lots of elbow grease) than any other I've ever owned. That might be OK if it actually cooked well, but...
The front right (large) eye will not simmer anything, even on the lowest setting on the inner ring -- everything's a rolling boil followed by boilover/cleaning/etc. The front left eye and top right eyes will actually stop cooking if you set them to Low (or sometimes 2, depending on the luck of the day). I have left things simmering on these eyes only to come back 30 minutes later and everything's cold -- even the heat indicator lamp has gone out.
The downdraft is a magnet for all sorts of trash, but that's the fault of the design, not this particular model. But that's not the only problem. We have to pull off the grate in order to get the fan control knob to pop up, and then it's very difficult to get it to stay down when we're through with it. As a result, we just leave it up.
Don't buy this product!
