Jenn-Air JED8430 30 in. Electric Cooktop

We have had our electric cooktop for almost 2 years and are on our fourth major repair. We have had the entire unit replaced twice and now another complete replacement due this week. Burners simply stop working. The main burner hasn't worked in 2 months. One failure resulted from our entire cooktop becoming locked and all controls inoperative. Our warranty expired, company would not extend warranty over 6 months even with a brand-new cooktop, and we were advised to get a sevice contract. Service is slow and inconvenient. It also requires constant cleaning and care in order to keep it looking nice. We could live with that if we had some reliabliity. I suggested to service that RF waves could be invading the IC circuitry and the company says they are researching that. I have a ham radio station nearby and could be the source of RF. That should not be an issue if it was properly designed.
