Oh Boy! I question the quality!

The Bottom Line: My final recommendation is keep your old cook top. Seems older appliances have better quality.
I too bought a replacement Jenn Air from the previous one. My older one worked well and was reliable. From day one, one of the new cartridge radiant elements just didn't look right while heated. It had a black half bubble in the glass. Called dealer and we are getting it replaced. Noted also the grate for the downdraft wiggles a good half inch out of place and is not secure and fitted. Week two. While taking off the cartridge that needed to be replaced, we were going to see what the grill element and grates looked like. The electric element plugged in well, but did not want to go down flush. It was raised 1/2 to 2/3 of and inch. Could not get them down even with heavy grilling grates on top. Another call to the dealer. Another wait for another part. And yes, I agree with the other reviews of Jenn Air cook top knobs. The knobs are very cheap and are open underneath them to let all sorts of crumbs in there. The OFF on the knobs could be a little bit more visual too. All I can say, I am keeping my old Jenn Air for when this one breaks.
