A Beautiful, Quiet Machine

Date of Review: May 31, 2005

I hate appliances with membrane pad push buttons. This machine is basically a high-end Maytag with a big, sturdy cycle knob and real push buttons. The handle is also sturdy and machined from stainless steel. This unit would look perfectly at home in a research lab. Inside, it is a typical Maytag in terms of racks and sprayers. I liked that, because Maytag parts are plentiful. The unit is said to feature a better insulation package than the Maytags, and I don't doubt that. It is very, very quiet in all phases of the cycle. Yes, it is much more expensive than a 'tag, but go see one before you decide to buy something less, or perish the thought, one of those European brands.
I've had it for about 9 months now. It just came out when I bought it. It does about a load a day. No problems so far.

UPDATE 5/8/2007. Fortunately, it's still beautiful and quiet. Still doing a load a day. Cleans very well, especially on the intense cycles. Just need to get the big chunks off the dishes first.
