Grand Cherokee SRT8 vs. Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS--some pleasant surprises |
|||
|
Pros: Acceleration, ride-handling balance, front seats, styling, refinement
Cons: Cramped rear seat, somewhat numb steering, lucky to pay just MSRP
The Bottom Line: Quite likely the best high-performance SUV for the price. Much better than I expected.
Review: Time was Detroit wouldn't even make a performance version of anything with more than two doors. The idea of a sport sedan just didn't compute. Even now you cannot get a Cobalt SS Supercharged in sedan form. But if you want a high-performance SUV, which ...

Pros: Better ride, better dash controls, better fold-down back seat system.
Cons: Less storage up front, less A/C vents up front-Gas mileage
The Bottom Line: We would buy another Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4 in a flash! We enjoy driving in the winter where we want to go NOT just where the plow already plowed!
Review: We just leased our fifth Jeep and our second Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4. We got the Silver color with Slate interior color cloth seats (I do not like to sweat on leather all summer.) BASE PRICE was $29,135 with towing package-$30,200. We kept our ...

Pros: ride comfort, price, utility, appearance
Cons: 3.7L V-6, some interior materials, rear seat comfort
The Bottom Line: I have no problem at all recommending the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the prices available today, however try to get at least the 4.7L V-8.
Review: I leased my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 new in January of 2006. Since then, I have put nearly 17,000 miles on it, taking it on long road trips, commuting to and from work/school, and even driving it off road and in treacherous conditions. ...

Pros: V8 Engine, Smooth Handling, Excellent Off Road Vehicle
Cons: Small Back Seat
The Bottom Line: Pick this vehicle for it's towing and off-road capabilities. Skip it if you have a large family to fit into the vehicle.
Review: We just recently returned from a month long trip visiting some friends in Chicago, and while we were there, we had the privilege of driving our friends' Jeep Grand Cherokee around. He owns the Limited 4dr SUV 4WD model. This is a review on what I thought ...

Pros: Style, Handling, Ride & Comfort.
Cons: Too many bugs for a brand new vehicle (Read for details).
The Bottom Line: I would still recommend the Grand Cherokee, but I think there are better SUVs to choose from.
Review: Like most of you out there who are considering leasing or buying a brand new vehicle, we don't just buy anything without doing a little homework first. Let's just say that I did do my homework but just not enough. I've read many reviews from sources such ...

Pros: Powerful, better look
Cons: low reliability
Review: The 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a more sophisticated look than the 2005 model. The first thing that struck me was that around 10,000 the rotor went bad. I had to resurface them 2 times in the next 10,000 miles, then eventually bought entirely new ...

Pros: Handling,looks,power
Cons: transmission, oil leak, rotors
Review: My parents told me never to buy these vehicles because of problematic issues. I always thought of jeeps as being sophisticated, but I didn't listen. My vehicle has been to the dealer 4 times for various little squeaks and adjustments. Not to mention my ...

Pros: it's big and heavy
Cons: it's big and heavy, handling poorly, bad mileage
The Bottom Line: Almost any other make and model of SUV would be an improvement for most drivers
Review: Given that Jeep has a reputation for being one of the pioneers of SUVs, long before they were such a hugely popular market segment, I first drove this vehicle assuming that Jeep would have made a product that dominated the market. I was wrong. Overall, ...
