Author's Review
Wow, where do I start.
I bought my Wrangler a little over a month ago and have loved it and enjoyed it every single day since. It is the 4 cylinder 5-speed version but contrary to popular belief, it has more than enough power. The inside is surprisingly roomy (especially with the back seat removed) and body itself is very rugged unlike most cars these days which are made out of thin weak material. The engine compartment has plenty of room to work on and the high ground clearance makes doing anything under the Jeep a breeze.
If you're looking to buy this vehicle, make sure you're ready to buy plenty of accessories. First of all you must take care of the security of the vehicle especially if it is a soft top like mine. The very first week I had the car, I bought an Add-a-Trunk which securely stores anything that will fit in a 2 square ft area between the rear seat and the tailgate. I also bought a hood lock (since the hood can be open by anyone just by undoing the two latches on the sides), a gas cap lock (same idea as the hood... you don't want anyone putting things into you gas tank right?), wheel locks (cause you don't want you spare tire missing when you walk outside your door in the morning), door locks (cause the doors can be removed by anyone with a wrench) and lastly I put an alarm system in ( but this was pretty cheap since all you really need is one with a siren and that detects door openings ( I needed it cause I was worried my CD player would be stolen). I eventually want to put in a Tuffy center console which makes prying open the center console virtually impossible).
The soft top is very easy to remove (takes about 6 minutes) once you know where everything is. And trust me, nothing compares to driving around town with your top off (of the Wrangler I mean). The Jeep itself does not accelerate fast, so if you're just a beginner driving a stick shift, get ready to be tailgated at red lights. The Wrangler however is a very very strong car, I moved from Austin to Dallas and loaded over 500 lbs into my Jeep and while driving with the A/C on, I didn't even notice a loss of power.
Overall I love my jeep, and once you get one, there are millions of accessories you can get for it that will personalize it to the extent that no one in the world will have a Wrangler exactly like yours.
