One of jeeps best

When my father bought a 1996 jeep cherokee i automatically liked it. When i drove it it had Amazing pickup. It has a pretty damn good power to weight ratio(200 hp, 240 ftlb,3000lbs). It definatley had some passing power. Its not the most quiet at high speeds, but that doesnt bother me. The jeep had a good rugid look to it. It is defenitley a respectable looking suv. you can put some bigger tires and its a pretty sweet lookin ride. The interior is not that nice. Its not a luxury type of vechile. There is great cargo space when you fold down the seats. I never took the jeep off roading becuase it was just 2 wheel drive so i couldnt do anything fun just some minor things, but ive head promising things about its abilities.

My dad an i went on a one month 7000 mile road trip. I know i said before the interior wasnt that nice, but during the road trip the seats were fine and we did 10 hours a day of driving. the jeep had no problems what so ever. no over heating or anything. we drove through hundreds of miles of desserts and even through a tornado in oklahoma. that jeep would have to be one of the most solid vechicles ive ever driven. I lost my jeep when my mom got into an accident. some guy ran a red light smacked into an excursion and the excursion smacked my baby!. The jeep was very strong and did well in the crash. the truck hit the drivers side door directly and my mom got out with neckpains. Our other vechile is a 1999 ford taurus. that would have to be the worst car ever. it has 70000 miles ONLY and it has enough problems. I know thats off topic but i had to put it out there. the jeep is at 19000 and running strong. of course we have had repairs on the engine and some other things, but its not a burden on you.

In my opinion the 4 litre high output engine is one of the best engines jeep has ever made, also one of the strongest transmissions. Im not sure if i remember correctly but i belive the jeep has the same transmission and engine as the army jeeps. The transmission in our jeep was replaced, but my friends jeep has 385,000! miles on it with the same tranny. of course its makes weird sounds and leaks oil but its runnin! all oringinal engine parts

overall the jeep is great for the cost. you can pick up a nice one for $3000-$4000. The jeep has great power low end and pretty decent highend. strong engine and tranny. not a burden on your wallet. the interior and engine noise isnt the best, but it doesnt bother me im just a guy. As far as i am conserned the jeep can hold its own in a crash. The jeep is a good lookin suv as well
