Takes a lickin' and then a butt kickin, but it's still tickin'
Pros:
Acceleration, power, hauling, comfort.
Cons:
Gas mileage, very little leg room in the back seat.
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this to anyone who can deal with the gas mileage, a very safe car for everyone, but too much power for irresponsible teens.

Author's Review
My Cherokee Laredo has been sorta been passed through parts of my family. I got it from my dad who bought it from my uncle who got it from his father-in-law. The first owner got it as a daily commuter since he was retired, and then sold it to my uncle who is an insurance adjuster and put a lot of miles on it everyday and when gas prices went up, he sold it to my dad and he drove it for 5 years until I needed something to drive, so he got himself a new truck and gave me the jeep. We've used it for everything from road trips to camping to off-roading and it's still going. The only constant problem I've had out is the slow occasional oil leak from the rear main seal, but that's only after adding oil, but the oil pressure seems to run high after adding oil to the proper line on the dipstick so I think the dipstick might be giving wrong measurements. The only major things that we've had to do to the jeep were having the timing chain re-aligned and the harmonic balancer came off after the dampener wore out and when it did, the belt pulled tight and hit the radiator and put a crack in it, so we replaced both of those for under $200. The jeep gets about 16 miles to the gallon but that's expected from any SUV with a high output 4.0 litre I6. Oh, and the four wheel drive aspect of this vehicle is awesome, it hasn't slipped on me yet and this vehicle is unbelievable in rain and standing water, we had a storm last week that left water up the the bumper of my jeep in parts of the town, and while some cars were stranded, i was free to move about. It is an awesome vehicle for everyday and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. Did I mention that it's still running strong even though it has a little better than 220,000 miles on it.
