300,000 or bust

My family purchased our '90 Jeep Cherokee new and it recently rolled over 205,000 miles. We've done no major repairs and have high hopes of making it to 300,000. It has a few leaks due to old gaskets that have some cracks but that's to be expected. When we bought it we lived on a ranch 4 miles from the nearest paved road and we can attest to its off-roading capability. It worked well as a family car with two small boys, but once we grew up the back seat became far to cramped.

As an active 17-year-old I now drive it wherever I go and love to have friends comment on what great shape it's in even after 200,000 miles and and 12 years. It's got plenty of room for anything from football pads to a large band instrument and gets adequate gas mileage so I don't have to spend a lot at the pump. I intend to keep driving it and taking care of it as long as it runs
