'08 Wrangler 4dr Rubicon edition
Pros:
Suspension, traction options and computer functions - Best at any price!
Cons:
Back seat upright for lengthy travel. Tailgate needs stopper. Softtop installed INSIDE hardtop Rubicon editions.
The Bottom Line:
I enjoy this Jeep! It's been through quite a bit and keeps on ticking. Spend extra to know you have Detroit's ultimate SUV! Needs better stereo/GPS, that's it!

Author's Review
I can't believe there are virtually zero Jeep Wrangler reviews here. I'm the thrilled owner of a maxed-out four door Wrangler, Rubicon edition, list price around $35,000. I spent a few extra dollars and received what I consider to be Detroit's absolutely maxed-out high-tech serious off-road vehicle. Every other owner's manual I've seen for 4wd machines studiously avoids serious discussion of offroad handling, tactics, etc. Jeep's advertising, promotional brochures, owners manual, and service personnel all seem to agree that the Wranglers, at least, were truly built to deliver performance off-road and I'm here to tell you that, at least my Rubicon edition, does just that! Pay the extra and get one if you ever intend to try any serious off-road fun. The Rubicon version features factory Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires, extra lift relative to the other models, and unbelievably useful and expensive to produce, locking Dana 44 axles, front and rear, which help the vehicle to plow forward over virtually any terrain, mud, rocks, etc., just like a half-track. An additional feature totally unlocks the front suspension from the highway restraints of the anti-roll bar. All this, and the axle locking, is done with the amazing touch of a switch in the dash! Total of five different computer controlled traction and stability functions do an awesome job. One or two even are customized to work with the special rock-crawling modes the machine is designed for! My Rubicon goes where most lesser Wranglers "fear to tread"! Seriously! See you in the Uwharrie National Forest!
