Author's Review
When I first saw the movie Jawbreaker, I fell in love with it. Then I went on vacation and at the mall I saw the Jawbreaker Soundtrack, which to my pleasure contained my favorite group Ednaswap. Instantly snatching up this album, I purchased it and rushed back to the place I was staying. Popping it into the cd player I was taken into the world of great songs, and great groups. This album contains 13 great tracks and 11 great groups.
Imperial Teen is one of the better groups off the album, with their popish "Yoo Hoo" and rock "Water Boy" they show their diversity to sing any kind of song. Shampoo is another great band off the album, consisting of two pop women from England I believe. Their songs "Don't Call Me Babe" and "Trouble" are excellent pop songs that keep you moving. Ednaswap is probably the best thing on the soundtrack, and I'm not saying that because they're my favorite group, but because their song "Next To You" rules over every song on the album.
I can credit this soundtrack with getting me interested in several different groups that have turned out to be awesome. Through this album I was introduced to the great sounds of Imperial Teen, the slow, seductive voice of Transister, the hard rocking quartet The Donnas, and the sixties sounding group The Prissteens. I would recommend this album to any and everybody though not all people would appreciate it as much as I do.
