Great machine for basic sewing

This is a great little machine. It sews a nice variety of stitches, does a 4 step button hole, goes in reverse. It is solid. Not like some of the cute machines you see out there.

I got this for my 9 yr. old daughter to learn to sew and she has made tons of great things, doll clothes, tote bags, and is currently working on a quilt. The machine sews nicely on thick or thin fabric.

I would definitely buy this again. This could be your sewing machine for any home dec., clothing, quilting, mending or whatever for as long as you need it, so long as you don't mind the Hello Kitty motif. This machine would be easy to take to sewing classes as well.
