My JVC gy-dv300 camera nightmare!

BRAND NEW CAMERA! I am a serious DV film maker and i do know alot about miniDV cameras and the JVC gy-dv300 is what you should not invest in or waste your time on. It is junk.

Sure, you get a nice picture, better than Canon's XLS1, but you get a camera that will simply eat your wonderful footage. What a trade off. What a major disappointment.

What makes it worst is when you set up a three hour prep scene and hire in 13 actors and actresses and rent a top Manhattan Executive office for the shot, the camera simply dies on you!

JVC use to mean a great brand to me. Because of this incident. A real world (expense out of pocket) experience, I most likely will steer away from all JVC video products for the rest of my days. And if anyone ever asked me what I think about JVC video or miniDV products, I will simply tell them about my real world experience. Where it really counted!
