Pros: small, easy to use, useful software provided
Cons: 45 minutes battery
Review: Let's be honest: at one point in time anybody wants a camera; for shooting family movies, friends or for travelling or whatever you want. I got my share of desire about one month ago. I finally got some money put aside and I decided that a camera would...

Pros: easy to use, lots of features
Cons: none
Review: Buying a camcorder is a big decision for the usual people (I am not thinking about the rich guys who are buying, don't like it, through it away...). After all it is around $1000, money that otherwise could be spent on many useful things... Why not buying...

In an ocean of camcorders this one's a blue marlin.

by   gorillabanana ,  Oct 31, 2002
Pros: low lux, compact, balanced, easy controls, amazing stills, excellent sound, progressive scan.
Cons: bottom loading cassette, no external mic jack.
The Bottom Line: It's beautiful to the eye and sleek and sexy to hold; but more importantly the audio and video performance is exceptional, especially in difficult lighting. The engineers got it right!
Review: Right out of the box, this camera's a beauty. First thing you notice is the sleek barrel design and the silver-gray color only compliments the streamlined appearance. Open up the large 3-1/2" viewfinder and you'll immediately notice a vast improvement ...

Great DVC for $600 or less

by   rubis ,  Feb 7, 2001
Pros: Easy Firewire (ILink) Connection, Great video quality, Ergonomic, easy to operate, price
Cons: Still images are low quality
The Bottom Line: If you want a great little DVC then pick the JVC DVL300. A lot of "bang for the buck"
Review: The JVC GRDVL300u is a great little DVC. It may be the on low end on the JVC line-up BUT this little camera performs like the "big boys". The camera is ergonomically designed and is very easy to operate for the "right hander". All controls and menu...

JVC DVL-300

by   randymagic ,  May 13, 2001
Pros: Outstanding picture due to the 680k pixel CCD and sharp lens, good value.
Cons: Lack of analog inputs.
The Bottom Line: Outstanding picture quality at a price much less than anything in its class. I bought two!
Review: Though there is little technical difference between Digital 8 and MiniDV theoretical capability- the smaller size of the MiniDV cassette and its wide acceptance as a standard are huge positives.

To choose the JVC 300U, I tested it versus 10...
